Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting an HGV Class 1 Container Driver for vacancies in Warrington, Cheshire. The role offers up to £21.00 per hour with weekly pay and immediate starts.

Typical shifts run Monday to Friday with AM or PM starts, and overtime on weekends. Duties include trunking depot-to-depot deliveries, safety checks, and load security, with ongoing work and driver induction provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence.
• A minimum of six months' Category C+E driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes.

Responsibilities

• Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries.
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations.
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers.
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required.
