Job summary

People Solutions is hiring an HGV Class 1 Container Driver in Warrington, Cheshire. Enjoy up to £21.00 per hour with weekly pay, ongoing work and immediate starts available.

Role involves trunking depot-to-depot deliveries, operating Category C+E vehicles, and ensuring loads are secure and compliant. Applicants should have Class 1 experience, CPC, and a clean licence. Training and support provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E driving licence.
• Minimum six months C+E driving experience.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than six penalty points.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99 endorsements.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• Good understanding of UK road traffic legislation.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries.
• Operate Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensure loads are secure and compliant with regulations.
• Adhere to road traffic rules and company procedures.
• Communicate with transport office and customers.
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with loading/unloading when required.
