Job summary

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Container Driver to join our well-established client in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £21.00 per hour with ongoing work and immediate starts available.

Shift patterns include Monday to Friday with AM starts between 04:00 and 06:00 and PM starts between 18:00 and 20:00; weekends overtime; drivers operate Category C+E vehicles, complete trunking deliveries, and perform pre- and post-journey checks.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Minimum of six months' Category C+E driving experience.
• A valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries.
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations.
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers.
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering up to £21.00 per hour with ongoing work and immediate starts available.

This would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £18.00 per hour (Days)
• £19.00 per hour (Nights)
• £21.00 per hour (Weekends)
• Weekly pay

Day-to-Day Duties:

Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Container Driver are:

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Container Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
