Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Container Driver to join a well-established client in Heysham, Lancashire on a full-time basis. The role offers up to £18.00 per hour, with day and night shifts and weekly pay. Immediate starts available for ongoing assignments within a leading logistics operation.

The position suits drivers with LGV CE Category experience and a valid UK CE licence, CPC, tachograph card, and clean PVG/DSA record. Overtime opportunities and induction are provided.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence required.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card required.
• Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping essential.
• Strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Complete trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries.
• Operate Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carry out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensure loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations.
• Adhere to road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Communicate effectively with transport office and customers.
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist with loading and unloading when required.
