Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting a Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Driver for ongoing work based in Skelmersdale. You will shunt and deliver trailers to the main site, Liverpool Dock, Heysham Dock, and other customer sites, with no handball required.

Shifts start around 6:00 am, Monday to Friday, offering 50 hours guaranteed per week. This is long‑term, weekday work with a stable schedule and PAYE pay at £18.00 per hour, including holiday pay accrued separately.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Professional, reliable and safety‑focused driver.

Responsibilities

• Shunt and deliver trailers between sites including Skelmersdale, Liverpool Dock, Heysham Dock and client sites.
• No handball; only trailer movements and curtain pulls.
• Typical start times around 6:00 am; Monday to Friday shifts.
• Long‑term, ongoing weekday work with a stable schedule.
• No loading/unloading required.

The Role

• No handball - strictly trailer moves and pulling curtains.


• Start times vary, typically from around 6:00am.


• Long-term, ongoing work with a stable, reliable schedule.


• Monday to Friday


• £18.00 per hour PAYE - Holiday pay accrued into a separate pot for paid time off!


• Consistent, ongoing weekday work


• No physical loading/unloading
