Job summary

The Best Connection Group is recruiting a Class 1 (C+E) Tramper Driver for Skelmersdale. You will shuttle trailers between the Skelmersdale site, Liverpool Dock, Heysham Dock and other customer sites.

Expect no handball, with starts around 6:00am. This is long-term, ongoing work with a consistent Monday to Friday schedule and a guaranteed 50 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph Card.
• Professional, reliable and safety‑focused driver.

• Shunting and delivering trailers between the main Skelmersdale site, Liverpool Dock, Heysham Dock and various customer sites.

Monday to Friday | Ongoing Work | 50 Hours Guaranteed

We're recruiting an additional Class 1 (HGV C+E) Tramper Driver based in Skelmersdale due to increased workload and the introduction of a new unit.

The Role

• Shunting and delivering trailers between:
  • The main Skelmersdale site
  • Liverpool Dock
  • Heysham Dock
  • Various customer sites
• No handball - strictly trailer moves and pulling curtains.
• Start times vary, typically from around 6:00am.
• Long-term, ongoing work with a stable, reliable schedule.

Job Details

• Monday to Friday
• Guaranteed 50 hours per week
• £18.00 per hour PAYE - Holiday pay accrued into a separate pot for paid time off!
• £25 per night out
• Consistent, ongoing weekday work
• No physical loading/unloading
