Job summary

Driver Hire Sudbury is seeking qualified HGV drivers to join our team for a variety of local and regional deliveries across multiple clients. You will perform vehicle checks, ensure tachograph compliance, and maintain a professional customer-focused approach.

Weekday day work is common, with nights and weekends offering higher pay. Flexible shifts and full/part-time options available to suit your commitments.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks and ensure full tachograph compliance.
• Deliveries local and regional, varied routes across multiple clients.

Driver Hire Sudbury are currently recruiting for Class 1 and Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team.

Our clients are based across the CO postcode; Sudbury, Halstead etc. They require drivers to cover busy periods, sickness and holiday.

Job Details

• Start times vary between 04:00 and 07:00 AM.
• Mainly Monday to Friday Day work, however nights and weekends are available (Higher pay)
• Variety and flexibility. Opportunities to work for a variety of clients, no two weeks are the same.
• Trunking, General haulage, Curtain siders, Flat bed, Refrigerated trailers, Builders merchants ETC
• Local and regional deliveries
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring full compliance with tachograph and driving regulations
• Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach

Minimum pay 0f £16.25 – £20.00 p/h for weekday, day shifts

Requirements

• Must have your own transport to travel to and from work.
• Valid Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Cat C) licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No More then 6 penalty points (no DD, DR, or similar endorsements).
• Must have appropriate PPE, including steel toe cap boots (Hi-Vis provided by Driver Hire).
• Must be able to work with both paper-based and PDA-based delivery systems.
• 2 yrs experience preferred but not essential
