Job summary

Driver Hire in Bury St Edmunds is seeking a Class 2 HGV Driver to start immediately for deliveries across the IP postcode area. Shifts are typically 10–12 hours, with 1–5 shifts per week, starting around 07:30. You will operate a Class 2 curtain-sided vehicle and must have a valid UK CPC, Digicard, and Cat C entitlement.

This is a temporary assignment with support from an experienced team. Pay ranges from £14.50 to £20.40 per hour depending on PAYE or Umbrella arrangements, with 28 days' holiday

Qualifications

• Full UK manual licence with Cat C entitlement.
• CPC & Digicard held.
• No more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive a Class 2 curtain-sided vehicle delivering palletised goods across the East of England.
• On 07:30hrs start; work with manual pump truck.
• Commutable from surrounding towns and flexible shifts (1–5 per week).

We are looking for Class 2 HGV Driver to start immediately for our growing client base across the IP postcode with all the support from our experienced team in Bury St Edmunds.

The successful Class 2 HGV Driver will receive:

• £14.50 - £17.00 PAYE
• £17.40 - £20.40 Umbrella.
• 28 days holiday prorated on PAYE.
• Upskilling to HIAB and/or ADR after satisfactory probation period.

What to expect as a Class 2 HGV Driver:

Want 1-5 shifts per week? No problem, we have you covered!

On 0730hrs start, you will be driving a Class 2 curtain-sided vehicle delivering palletised goods across the East of England in a safe and efficient manner.

Must be prepared for manual work with pump truck.

Your days will usually between 10-12 hours long.

As a Class 2 HGV Driver you must:

• Full UK manual licence with Cat C entitlement
• Valid CPC & Digicard.
• Have no more than 6 effective penalty points.
• No DG, DD or IN endorsements.

This position is commutable from Ipswich, Thetford, Stowmarket, Newmarket, Diss and Bury St Edmunds.
