Job summary

Smart Solutions in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Hooklift Driver to join our team. This full-time role offers a minimum of 50 hours per week, with a 04:30 start and a Monday–Friday pattern, plus occasional Saturdays.

You will operate Class 1 Hooklift vehicles, perform safety checks, and ensure compliance with drivers’ hours and tachograph rules while delivering and collecting loads safely.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and ADR licence.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience.
• Age 25+ for insurance.
• Good knowledge of Wolverhampton and surrounding areas.
• Hooklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class 1 Hooklift vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks.
• Complete deliveries and collections in a safe and professional manner.
• Maintain accurate digital tachograph records.
• Ensure compliance with drivers' hours and transport legislation.
• Communicate effectively with the depot and transport team.
• Maintain high standards of vehicle safety and cleanliness.

HGV Class 1 ADR Hooklift Driver

Location: Wolverhampton, WV1
Job Type: Full-Time, temp to perm
Pay: £18.60 per hour
Guaranteed Minimum: 50 hours per week
Start Time: 04:30 until finish
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 1 ADR Hooklift Driver to join our team in Wolverhampton.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering a minimum of 50 hours per week paid at a rate of £18.60 per hour, with an early start time of 04:30 until finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating Class 1 Hooklift vehicles safely and efficiently.


• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.


• Completing deliveries and collections in a safe and professional manner.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

• Be aged 25+ for insurance purposes.


• Good knowledge of Wolverhampton and the surrounding areas.


• Previous Hooklift experience is preferred.


• A strong commitment to safe and professional driving.
