Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for a busy Wakefield-based client. This long-term role requires night or day shifts, with weekend work common and rate increases after week 12 and 27.

You will deliver to RDCs and stores, unload with tail lift and cages, perform vehicle checks, and adhere to safety protocols. Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold HGV C+E licence for at least 6 months.
• No DR10, CD10, IN10; maximum 6 points.
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification required.
• Manual handling of cages and tail lift duties.
• Weekend shifts are included in the pattern.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to RDCs and stores.
• Unloading at stores using tail lift and cages.
• Vehicle checks and basic daily paperwork.

Rates increase after week 12 and 27.

Rapier Employment are currently seeking an HGV Class 1 driver for our busy client in Wakefield. This role will be long term ongoing for the right candidates.

Any shift to include a weekend day.

This role does require some manual handling of cages and tail lift work.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering to RDCs and stores.
• Stores deliveries will be unloading using tail lift and cages.
• Vehicle checks
• Shift patterns to suit but a weekend shift is preferred.

Days

• Days: 02:00 – 09:00 starts

Nights

• Nights: 13:00 – 21:00 starts

Rates are the same Monday – Sunday.

The ideal candidate.

• Held your HGV C+E licence for at least 6 months
• No DR10’s No CD10’s No IN10’s – NO MORE THAN 6 POINTS
• Digital Tachograph Card and CPC qualification
