Job summary

Driver Hire Exeter is seeking a reliable Cat C (Class 2) Driver to join our busy foodservice distribution team in Exeter. You will deliver frozen, chilled and ambient goods to hotels, restaurants and other caterers across South West Devon and Cornwall.

This role offers temp-to-perm or long-term employment with a well-established business, with Monday to Friday work, early start times from 6:00am, and a Driver's Mate provided on routes.

Qualifications

• Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points; speeding offences only considered.
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience desirable.
• Good knowledge of Devon and Cornwall preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver frozen, chilled and ambient goods to customers.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and comply with transport regulations.
• Maintain delivery records and paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service on every delivery point.
• Work with a Driver's Mate on loading/unloading.

We are currently recruiting for a reliable and professional Cat C (Class 2) Driver to join our client's busy foodservice distribution team based in Exeter. This role involves delivering frozen, chilled and ambient goods to hotels, restaurants, pubs, cafés and other catering establishments throughout South West Devon and Cornwall.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver frozen, chilled and ambient products to customers across Devon and Cornwall.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and ensure compliance with transport regulations.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork.
• Provide excellent customer service at every delivery point.
• Work alongside a Driver's Mate, who will assist with loading and unloading deliveries.

Requirements

• Valid Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• Only speeding offences will be considered
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is desirable
• Good geographical knowledge of Devon and Cornwall preferred
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude

Pay & Benefits

• £14.50 per hour PAYE accrued or £14.50 plus £1.75 holiday pay = £16.25 per hour on PAYE advanced
• 20 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays
• Advanced PAYE rate available
