Job summary

Driver Hire Truro & Bodmin is seeking a Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver for ongoing summer work across Cornwall with the potential to go permanent. You’ll join a well-established wholesale distributor, delivering products to commercial customers and representing the company with professionalism and strong service standards.

Role requires valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and tachograph card, plus reliable, punctual performance.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Prior Class 2 delivery driving experience is beneficial.
• Good knowledge of Cornwall and surrounding areas.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual handling duties.

Responsibilities

• Deliver wholesale food products to commercial customers.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries across Cornwall and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload goods as required.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards.
• Follow transport, health & safety, and company procedures.

Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver - Wholesale Food Distribution

Location: Redruth, Cornwall
Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour (£19.38 for Saturday)
Pay Frequency: Weekly Pay
Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 06:30 start
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary Ongoing

We are currently recruiting for a Class 2 HGV Delivery Driver to join a well-established wholesale food distributor based in Redruth.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver looking for consistent, full-time work throughout the summer, with the potential to secure a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering wholesale food products to customers across Cornwall and the surrounding areas, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Working as part of a professional transport team, you'll be the face of the business, providing excellent customer service while maintaining high standards of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering wholesale food products to commercial customers
• Completing multi-drop deliveries across Cornwall and surrounding areas
