Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for full-time temporary roles at our Cambuslang depot, Glasgow. You will perform refrigerated multi‑drop deliveries with tail lift, handling 8–15 drops daily.

The shifts start overnight (00:01–03:00) with day or night pay rates, and immediate starts are available. You will drive within WTD/EU regs, perform vehicle checks, refuel, and ensure excellent customer service with on‑time and complete deliveries.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of Class 1 driving experience.
• Digi & CPC card required; no more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Immediate start for successful candidates.

Responsibilities

• Drive under WTD and EU regs.
• Prepping and checks for delivery vehicles.
• Refueling and maintaining vehicles.
• Multi‑drop deliveries to shops and stores.
• Interdepot and RDC deliveries; manual handling of trolleys.
• Ensure high levels of customer service and on-time orders.

HGV 1 Driver - Glasgow Cambuslang

Glasgow Cambuslang Investment Park - HGV Class 1

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 drivers for full-time temporary roles in our depot in Cambuslang - Glasgow. The role consists of refrigerated deliveries to shops and stores. 8 - 15 drops per day, with Tail lift and cages. Immediate starts for successful candidates.

Shifts pattern available

• Wednesday to Saturday (start between 00:01-03:00)
• Sunday to Wednesday (start between 00:01-03:00)

Day pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £17.30 (overtime after 47.5hrs £19.46)
• Saturday £19.46
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £25.95

Nights pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £19.77 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.92)
• Saturday £21.92
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.41

30-minute break deducted per shift only!

Day to day duties will include the following:

• Driving with-in the WTD and EU regs and rules.
• Prepping vehicles for delivery.
• Completing vehicles checks.
• Refueling vehicles.
• Multi drop deliveries.
• Interdepot and RDC deliveries.
• Manual Handling trolleys
• The Driver must ensure that the highest levels of customer service are maintained on the round and orders are fulfilled on time and in full.

As a person you will need the following qualities and experience:

• At least 6 Months of Class one driving experience required.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• UK Driving Licence with a Cat C+E entitlement.
• Digi & CPC Card No more than 6 points for minor offences.
• Immediate start for successful candidates
