Job summary

Resourcing Group is recruiting a Class 1 Driver for general haulage across the UK. You will operate Curtain Sider trailers, perform safety checks, secure loads, and complete delivery paperwork while maintaining professionalism with customers and planners.

The role requires a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence, Driver CPC, a Digital Tachograph Card, and experience in general haulage. Regular pay and ongoing work are offered with the possibility of permanent opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Have a valid Driver CPC.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience, ideally within general haulage.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly and paperwork is completed.
• Communicate with customers and transport planners professionally.
• Adhere to drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.

The Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery and collection of general haulage loads to customers and sites across the UK.

Duties will include:

• Driving Class 1 (C+E) vehicles in a safe and professional manner
• Curtain Sider Trailers
• Completing general haulage deliveries and collections
• Carrying out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts
• Ensuring loads are secured correctly
• Completing delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery
• Communicating professionally with customers and transport planners
• Adhering to all drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations
• Maintaining a high standard of vehicle cleanliness and presentation

About You

We are looking for drivers who are:

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Have a valid Driver CPC
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience, ideally within general haulage
• Have a good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
• Reliable, punctual and professional
• Safety-conscious with a good attitude to work
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
