Job summary

An experienced and motivated Assistant Site Manager is sought to join a client’s team and help deliver unique refurbishment, restoration and redevelopment projects on castles, retreats and other character properties.

You will be on site daily, coordinate subcontractors, monitor progress, check workmanship and support health & safety, with regular travel across Yorkshire and Cumbria and weekly office attendance near Warrington/Northwich.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or civil roles preferred.
• Ability to coordinate trades and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day site management and coordination
• Managing and coordinating subcontractors and trades
• Monitoring progress against project programmes
• Checking workmanship and maintaining high standards
• Coordinating materials, deliveries, plant and equipment
• Recording site progress and reporting issues
• Supporting site health & safety
• Helping resolve problems and keep projects on programme
• Managing snagging and outstanding works
• Working closely with contractors, suppliers and the wider management team
