Job summary

UK Restoration Services is seeking an experienced Working Site Foreman to join a rapidly expanding team. You will manage a team of restoration operatives on some of the UK’s oldest buildings, overseeing progress, costs and safety.

You will liaise with clients, supervise site activities, and ensure high standards of workmanship while coordinating with subcontractors and reporting to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Foreman, Supervisor or Manager.
• Experience & Knowledge of building and construction.
• SSSTS/SMSTS qualification or equivalent.
• Excellent time management and leadership skills.
• Great initiative and attention to detail.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Working Site Foreman to join our rapidly expanding team to work within a busy environment. You will be working on some of the UK’s oldest buildings, managing a team of Restoration operatives. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience, as well as theoretical knowledge. Your day to day activities may include:

• Liaising with clients and reporting on progress to staff and the public
• Supervising construction workers and subcontractors
• Ordering materials for each phase of the project
• Monitoring build costs and project progress
• Conducting quality and safety inspections
• Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings
• Motivating the workforce
• Day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise
• Working on-site in all weathers and on the tools when necessary.

What you need to have:

• Previous Experience working as a Site Foreman, Supervisor or Manager
• Experience & Knowledge of building and construction
• SSSTS (Site Supervisor) or SMSTS (Site Manager) qualification or equivalent
• Excellent time management and leadership skills
• Good initiative and logical thinking skills.
• Great attention to detail
• Previous Experience in the Heritage sector an advantage
• Excellent awareness of site health and safety
• Proficient in Microsoft 365/Office Suite
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Full UK Driving license (MUST be able to make own way to our remote yard on a daily basis)
