Job summary

Thornbury Castle is seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our 5* hotel team. You will oversee health & safety and coordinate planned preventive maintenance across the estate, working with Front Office and Housekeeping to maintain an excellent guest environment.

The role reports to the Hotel Manager and involves managing external contractors, leading a small team, and ensuring all areas are safe, clean and well maintained. Weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance disciplines such as plumbing, electrical or joinery.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload independently.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to respond to maintenance requests.

Responsibilities

• Manage planned preventive maintenance across the hotel.
• Coordinate with external contractors and internal teams.
• Lead a small maintenance team and carry out building maintenance tasks.
• Conduct Health & Safety checks and ensure safe operation of equipment.
