Job summary

Purcell Architecture in London is seeking a recently qualified Architect to join our team working on central London cultural projects. You will contribute to projects across RIBA stages, blending heritage conservation with innovative design, while benefiting from a collaborative, learning-focused culture.

You will develop detailed drawings, engage in site surveys, and grow professionally in a supportive, employee-owned environment that values learning and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years post-part 2 qualification experience.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Twinmotion.
• Experience across all RIBA Stages, especially Stages 2-6.
• Understanding of the UK Building and Planning regulations.
• Experience in working on existing buildings and historic conservation.
• Interest and enthusiasm for historic buildings and their conservation.
• Proactive 'can do' attitude.
• Personable, confident and with a strong sense of team spirit.
• Ability to manage self, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Continuously develop knowledge of Purcell's approach to architectural conservation and design.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, and consultants to support project delivery.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit; assist design team with documentation.
• Develop design packages from concept to detailed drawings to meet client expectations.
• Involve in site surveys to gather information for design work and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare professional presentation documents for client meetings and submissions.
• Gain hands-on experience in architectural conservation and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Contribute to Purcell's design reputation by delivering high-quality, creative, technically sound solutions.
