AtkinsRéalis Heritage team seeks an Archaeological Consultant or Senior Consultant to support a wide range of heritage services and projects across the UK and internationally. Based in London or Birmingham, you will collaborate with clients and design teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will lead fieldwork management, advise on planning processes, and contribute to environmental and heritage statements.

Formación

• Strong background in the UK historic environment with fieldwork delivery.
• Master's level in archaeology or substantial commercial experience.
• Knowledge of planning processes (incl. EIA) and heritage legislation.
• Willingness to work across the UK and internationally; UK driving license.
• Member of the Institute for Archaeologists at Associate level or above (CIfA).

Responsabilidades

• Management and QA of archaeological fieldwork programmes and subcontractors, including Archaeological Clerk of Works on major infrastructure projects.
• Defining scope, programme, and design of heritage works, including mitigation and outreach programmes.
• Providing technical advice to clients and internal teams on diverse projects.
• Preparing EIA screening, environmental statements, heritage statements, and desk-based assessments.
• Assessing heritage constraints to inform design development.
• Delivery of medium-to-large scale projects on time and budget.
• Consultation with heritage stakeholders and client project teams.
• Production of fee proposals and input on tenders.
