The NSPCC Helpline is seeking a Supervisory Practice Manager to lead frontline child protection guidance and support via our national Helpline. The role combines home and office working, with shifts including evenings and weekends, and requires proximity to our Birmingham office.

You will coach and manage staff from varied social care backgrounds, assess risk, safeguard children, and collaborate with internal departments and external authorities.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in social care and safeguarding.
• Ability to coach and manage staff.
• Strong IT skills and proficiency with standard software.
• Experience in providing live support via telephone and written communication.
• Ability to assess information, risk and safeguard children.
• Ability to build relationships with internal departments and external authorities.

Responsabilités

• Lead live support to staff from diverse social care backgrounds.
• Support the Helpline Service Heads in delivering frontline child protection advice.
• Coach and manage Helpline team members to ensure high quality service.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external authorities to safeguard children.
• Ensure confidential handling of information and compliance with safeguarding policies.
