Helpdesk Support Technician

Role location – Manchester, UK/ Hybrid working

The Helpdesk Support Technician plays a vital role in providing IT support to business partners, enabling the company to achieve its goals. You will be responsible for providing solutions to technology challenges as well as educating end users on utilizing available tools to perform their tasks more efficiently.

What to expect:

• IT phone support to stakeholders globally (on a rotating basis)
• Computer imaging and troubleshooting
• Technical advice and guidance for Hologic employees
• Hardware procurement, inventory, and disposal support
• VIP/Executive support
• Assist with managing standard processes and procedures
• Work directly with vendors on installations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance
• Respond to and close IT Helpdesk tickets
• On-call support outside regular business hours on a rota basis

What we expect:

• Experience in an IT Help Desk support role
• Proficiency with Windows 10/11
• Experience with Microsoft Office / Office 365
• Knowledge of laptop and printer hardware
• Mobile device support experience (Apple iOS preferred)
• Advanced knowledge of desktop support tools
• Understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting Wi-Fi issues
• Ability to triage, troubleshoot, and resolve PC and network problems quickly and accurately
• Excellent communication, telephone support, and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
• ServiceNow experience is desirable but not essential
