Job summary

GTG Training – West Midlands is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to become a Technical Trainer. This is an excellent opportunity to move from the workshop into a rewarding training role, helping develop the next generation of technicians.

You will train apprentices and delegates at GTG’s training centre, delivering practical and classroom-based sessions, assessing progress, and maintaining training records, with full training provided to gain teaching qualifications.

Qualifications

• No teaching experience is required – we’ll provide full training and support to gain a teaching qualification.
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong heavy vehicle maintenance experience.
• Electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle technology knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Training apprentices and commercial delegates towards industry-recognised qualifications at GTG’s training centre.
• Delivering practical and classroom-based training.
• Assessing learner progress.
• Maintaining training records.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their development.

£35,000 – £40,000 and bonus opportunities

Hours

Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm, no weekend work required
