GTG Training Limited in the West Midlands is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to transition into a Technical Trainer role. You will deliver practical and theory-based instruction at GTG’s training centre, guiding apprentices and delegates toward industry-recognised qualifications.

You will assess learner progress, maintain training records, and support trainees throughout their development, benefiting from full training to obtain teaching qualifications and clear progression

Qualifikationen

• Experience in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle technology.
• Excellent communication and team interaction skills.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• No formal teaching experience required; training will be provided to gain teaching qualification.

£35,000 – £40,000 and bonus opportunities

Hours

Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm, no weekend work required

GTG Training is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to become a Technical Trainer. This is an excellent opportunity to move from the workshop into a rewarding training role, helping develop the next generation of technicians.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Training apprentices and commercial delegates towards industry-recognised qualifications at GTG’s training centre.
• Delivering practical and classroom-based training.
• Assessing learner progress.
• Maintaining training records.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their development.

What We’re Looking For From You

• No teaching experience is required – we’ll provide full training and support to gain a teaching qualification
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong heavy vehicle maintenance experience
• Electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle technology knowledge
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm
• Full UK driving licence
