Job summary

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Mobile Plant Operator to join a busy quarry operation in Darley Dale, Derbyshire. The role requires operating 18-22 tonne dumpers, 21 tonne 360 excavators and mobile jaw crushers, with CPCS/NPORS or equivalent tickets.

You must have previous quarry or heavy industrial experience, be safety-focused and able to complete pre-use checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold CPCS/NPORS or relevant plant tickets.
• Proven experience operating dumper, excavator and mobile jaw crusher.
• Previous quarry, recycling or heavy industrial experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate 18-22 tonne dumpers.
• Operate 21 tonne 360 excavators.
• Operate mobile jaw crushers.
• Load, move and process materials.
• Carry out daily plant checks and report defects.
• Follow site health and safety procedures.
• Maintain safe working areas around mobile plant.
• Support general site operations as required.

Heavy Mobile Plant Operator - 360 / Dumper / Crusher

£20.37 per hour | Continental Shifts | Darley Dale | Permanent Opportunity

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Heavy Mobile Plant Operator / Mobile Plant Operator / Heavy Plant Operator to join a busy heavy industrial operation in Darley Dale.

The successful candidate must have current, relevant tickets and proven experience operating ALL THREE of the following:

• 18-22 tonne Large Dumper
• 21 tonne 360 Excavator
• Mobile Jaw Crusher

Previous experience in quarrying, recycling, aggregates, waste, construction, earthmoving, heavy industry or materials processing is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate 18-22 tonne dumpers
• Operate 21 tonne 360 excavators
• Operate mobile jaw crushers
• Load, move and process materials
• Carry out daily plant and equipment checks
• Report defects, faults and maintenance requirements
• Follow site operating procedures and Health & Safety requirements
• Maintain safe working areas around mobile plant
• Work alongside other Heavy Plant Operators and site teams
• Support general site operations when required

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience as a Heavy Plant Operator, Mobile Plant Operator, 360 Excavator Operator, Dumper Driver/Operator or Crusher Operator
• Proven operating experience on all three machines
• Current CPCS / NPORS or relevant plant tickets for the required machinery
• Experience operating large mobile plant
• Strong Health & Safety awareness
• Able to complete pre-use checks and identify defects
• Reliable, safety-conscious and able to work independently
• Previous quarry, aggregates, recycling, waste, construction or heavy industrial experience

Shift & Pay

• £20.37 per hour PAYE
• Continental shift pattern
• Ongoing work with permanent opportunities for the right candidate

Candidates must have experience operating a 360 excavator, large dumper AND mobile jaw crusher, with the relevant tickets/licences.
