Swissport Manchester Airport is seeking a motivated Ground Service Equipment (GSE) technician to service, repair and maintain all types of GSE. You will perform preventive maintenance, record inspection findings in the fleet management system, and may join a standby rota (one week in four) with potential call-outs.

Applicants should have a time-served background (City & Guilds or equivalent), be prepared to work outdoors in all weather, and bring your own tools.

Qualificações

• Must have City & Guilds or equivalent qualification.
• Experience with GSE or HGV is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather and travel to other Swissport stations.

Full-Time, Perm, This is a 4 on and 4 off shift pattern

Job Summary

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to service, repair and maintain all types of Ground Service Equipment (GSE). You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all GSE and upload inspection findings and job details into Swissport's fleet management system and may be required to participate in a standby rota, with a frequency of one week in four, including potential call-outs.

Responsibilities

What we are looking for:

• Experience working with HGV vehicles, or Ground Service Equipment would be preferred but not essential.
• Time served Technician with City & Guilds or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year post apprentice.
• Good general mechanical, diagnostics and fault finding ability
• Willingness to learn new skills
• Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electric systems
• Ability to conduct safety inspections and perform routine maintenance
• Enthusiastic, flexible team player with a positive, 'can do' attitude
• Welding preferred but not necessary
• Willingness to work in inclement weather.
• Must have own tools.
• Willingness to travel when necessary for training or to assist other Swissport stations with GSE needs.
• Must be able to pass DBS security background checks
