Job summary

Commonwealth Of Virginia is seeking a hardworking Snow Removal Operator to support emergency operations and winter maintenance across roadways.

You will perform heavy manual labor, operate medium to heavy equipment, and conduct preventative maintenance on fleet assets, including dump trucks, loaders and graders. Shift work, including nights, and compliance with CDL and DOT medical card requirements are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform heavy manual labor including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work day or night shifts to support emergency operations.
• Must possess CDL license and DOT medical card and maintain thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Emergency Operations: assist and support snow/ice clearance and road treatment.
• Perform heavy manual labor and install equipment as needed.
• Preventative maintenance on equipment used to clear roadways.
