Job summary

Emtec Group, Coatbridge, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our off-site manufacturing facility. You’ll work with the Off-site Manufacturing Manager and Digital/Technical teams to ensure safe, efficient production, on-programme delivery and high-quality output for UK projects.

You’ll drive production planning, coordinate materials and resources, support a skilled production team and continuously improve productivity, safety and quality across the site.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication or related manufacturing is essential.
• Mechanical/HVAC background with understanding of pipework systems.
• Strong production planning and resource management skills.
• Good understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Strong health, safety and quality awareness.
• Ability to collaborate with technical, project and commercial teams.
• Practical, solution-focused approach to keeping production moving.
• Full UK driving licence held.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production, coordinating people, materials and resources to meet programme requirements.
• Plan workloads and production activities to maximise efficiency and keep projects on schedule.
• Lead and support the production team, maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Work with Digital, Design, Project and Commercial teams from design through manufacture to delivery.
• Monitor progress, resolve production issues and identify risks early.
• Manage materials, equipment and subcontracted activities to support production needs.
• Drive continuous improvement across productivity, quality and processes.
• Ensure finished products meet client requirements and industry standards.
