Northern Ireland Housing Executive is recruiting a Heating Engineer to service and maintain NIHE and private properties across the North West area. The role requires Gas Safe registration, on-call rotation, and driving license with coverage in multiple properties.

Key duties include gas/oil maintenance, annual services, safety checks on boilers and oil appliances, and flexibility to cover other locations as needed. Benefits include pension, life assurance, and health plan.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registered with experience in servicing domestic gas systems.
• Gas/oil maintenance and safety checks experience.
• Experience with NIHE and private properties is preferred.

Role Overview:

Responsible for the servicing and response maintenance of NIHE and Private properties, in various areas including North West Area.

Reports to:

Foreman

Direct Reports:

N/A

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 8am – 5pm
• On Call Rota
• Flexibility is required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Job roles will include but are not limited to:

• Gas/Oil Maintenance repairs and breakdown repairs
• Annual Gas/Oil Services in NIHE properties and Private properties
• Inspections and safety checks on Gas boilers
• Safety checks and services on Oil appliances

The role is not limited to this job description and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties at the request of Management. Flexibility to cover other office locations may be required.

Personnel Specification:

Essential Criteria:

• Gas Safe registered with experience in servicing domestic gas systems

OR

• Time served or Qualified Plumber

and

• Full Driving License
• Available to carryout call outs (on a rotational basis)

Desirable Criteria:

• OFTEC qualified with experience in servicing domestic oil systems
• Valid CSR Card
