Job summary

Uniting Holding in Belfast is seeking an experienced Gas Service Engineer to manage servicing and response maintenance for NIHE and private properties in the Belfast area.

The role includes on-call duty, Monday to Friday hours, and requires Gas Safe registration, fault-finding skills, and a full driving license; flexibility to cover other locations and on-call rotations is expected. Benefits include Pension, Life Assurance and Health Cash Plan.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration or proven experience with domestic gas systems.
• Experience fault finding on domestic central heating and boilers.
• Full driving license and willingness to carry out call outs.
• Willingness to cover other locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Gas and oil maintenance repairs and breakdowns.
• Annual gas/oil services for NIHE and private properties.
• Inspections and safety checks on gas boilers.
• Safety checks and servicing of oil appliances.

Job description

Role Overview:

Responsible for the Gas servicing and Response maintenance of NIHE and Private properties, primarily in the Belfast Area.

Reports to:

Foreman

Working Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 8am – 5:30pm
• On Call Rota
• Flexibility is required.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Job roles will include but are not limited to:

• Gas/Oil Maintenance repairs and breakdown repairs
• Annual Gas/Oil Services in NIHE properties and Private properties
• Inspections and safety checks on Gas boilers
• Safety checks and services on Oil appliances

The role is not limited to this job description and the post holder will be required to carry out other duties at the request of Management. Flexibility to cover other office locations may be required.

Essential Criteria

• Gas Safe registered or with experience in servicing domestic gas systems
• Experience in fault finding on domestic central heating systems and boilers
• Full Driving License
• Available to carryout call outs (on a rotational basis)

Desirable Criteria

• Time served or Qualified Plumber
• Valid CSR Card
• OFTEC qualified with experience in servicing domestic oil systems
