Job summary

Ferrovial Construction seeks an experienced MEP Section Engineer for Heathrow Airport. The role manages a section of construction works, oversees multiple work packages, and drives delivery to client requirements while upholding safety, quality and cost controls.

You will coordinate with Commercial teams, Site Engineers, Surveyors and stakeholders to meet programme objectives and ensure high standards of engineering practice across site activities.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or engineering management role within MEP engineering, infrastructure, or utility construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, engineering principles and best practice.
• Demonstrated commercial awareness with an understanding of contract administration and project controls.
• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work packages.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example in promoting health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Supervise subcontractors, Site Engineers and the workforce, ensuring RAMS adherence.
• Review and verify setting out activities for accuracy and compliance.
• Mentor MEP engineers and ensure material testing, quality records and inspections are completed.
• Maintain engineering records, including survey documentation and site diaries.
• Attend and chair coordination meetings with stakeholders and internal teams.
• Ensure drawings, specifications and 3D model information are complete and updated.
• Ensure ITPs are completed and digitally recorded.
• Develop and monitor short-term programmes (2–4 weeks) with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Monitor site activities for safety and conformance; address non-conformances.
• Manage material orders and procurement records; coordinate temporary works.
