Job summary

CV Technical Limited in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager on a Monday to Friday basis to own health, safety and environmental standards across the site and customer locations.

You will develop policies, conduct risk assessments, lead investigations, deliver inductions and drive ISO 45001/14001 compliance while promoting a proactive safety culture within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
• IOSH Membership, GradIOSH or CMIOSH preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation (COSHH, PUWER, RIDDOR).
• Experience leading H&S in manufacturing or high-risk environments.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Practical, hands-on approach; strong analytical and reporting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee H&S across manufacturing facility and customer sites.
• Ensure compliance with COSHH, PUWER and RIDDOR.
• Develop and improve H&S policies, procedures and emergency plans.
• Carry out risk assessments, audits and site inspections.
• Lead investigations into accidents and near misses; implement corrective actions.
• Deliver H&S inductions, toolbox talks and training.
• Monitor performance and report to senior management.
• Support vendor, visitor and environmental compliance.
• Support fire safety, hazardous substances and waste management.
• Maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 compliance; drive Zero Accident strategy.
• Assist with digital H&S systems implementation.

Health & Safety Manager

50,000 + Company Car / Car Allowance

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a manufacturing business based in Wolverhampton.

This is a hands on role where you'll take ownership of Health & Safety and environmental standards across the manufacturing site and customer locations. You'll work closely with employees, managers and contractors, helping to maintain compliance while continuing to develop a strong, proactive safety culture.

The role will involve:

• Managing Health & Safety across the manufacturing facility and customer sites
• Ensuring compliance with UK legislation including COSHH, PUWER and RIDDOR
• Developing and improving Health & Safety policies, procedures and emergency plans
• Carrying out risk assessments, audits and site inspections
• Leading accident, incident and near miss investigations and implementing corrective actionsDelivering Health & Safety inductions, toolbox talks and training
• Monitoring Health & Safety performance and reporting to senior management
• Managing contractor, visitor and environmental compliance
• Supporting fire safety, hazardous substances and waste management
• Supporting and maintaining ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
• Helping drive the business towards its Zero Accident strategy
• Supporting the introduction and development of digital Health & Safety systems

We're looking for:

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• IOSH Membership, ideally GradIOSH or CMIOSH
• Previous Health & Safety leadership experience within manufacturing or another high-risk environment
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation, particularly COSHH, PUWER and RIDDOR
• Experience working with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001
• Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work with people at all levels
• A practical, hands-on approach to Health & Safety
• Good analytical, reporting and investigation skills
