Job summary

South Yorkshire Combined Mayoral Authority is seeking a Healthy Workplaces Policy Support Officer in Sheffield to help shape regional work and health policy. You will work with SYMCA colleagues and external partners to build the evidence base, support policy delivery and align with local and national priorities.

This role offers hybrid working, 37 hours, permanent full-time, and opportunities to influence healthier workplaces and inclusive economic growth across South Yorkshire.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support work and health policy development and delivery.
• Collaborate with local authorities, employers and partners to inform policy development.
• Gather, analyse and interpret research and data to support policy decisions.
• Monitor national policy developments relating to work and health.
• Prepare briefings, reports and presentations for senior leaders.
• Support engagement activities, events and communications promoting healthier workplaces.
