Job summary

Hedyn is seeking a Healthy Homes Surveyor to ensure homes across its portfolio are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. The role involves technical surveys, specifying remedial works, and overseeing contractor performance to deliver value for money and high-quality outcomes.

With a focus on FFHH compliance, disrepair, damp and mould, and resident wellbeing, the post holder will support safe, healthy homes and excellent customer service for Hedyn residents.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle and business insurance is required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake technical surveys to ensure homes meet FFHH standards under the Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016, through proactive management of Disrepair and hazard mitigation.
• Survey repairs works, diagnose property needs and provide detailed work specifications or schedules of rates.
• Inspect and manage risks to mitigate HHSRS hazards, focusing on damp, mould, and structural integrity.
• Carry out site inspections, working at height, using ladders/scaffolding, and access confined spaces.
• Order works and resources, coordinating with stakeholders and contractors on timescales and RAMS/COSHH where needed.
• Maintain records, monitor progress, and report on outcomes; ensure safety and value for money.
