Job summary

Places for People, one of the UK's largest housing providers, is hiring a Damp and Mould Operative (Healthy Homes Operative) to help improve customers' homes in your local area, with a company van and fuel card provided.

You will identify and treat damp and mould in occupied and void properties, give practical prevention advice, and work to health and safety standards, with a structured schedule and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience in property maintenance or a relevant trade background.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Attending properties to identify and treat damp and mould issues.
• Assessing severity and applying appropriate treatment methods.
• Providing advice to Customers on prevention and maintenance.
• Working to specifications and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
• Collaborating with supervisors, schedulers and wider teams to meet deadlines.
• Recording work activity and completing required documentation.
