Job summary

InHealth is seeking a Healthcare Support Worker for the Endoscopy team at our static clinic site. You will welcome patients, protect privacy, support the clinical team with equipment and observations, and help deliver care according to nursing plans.

Shifts run 8am to 6pm, four days a week, with a weekend rota. Experience in care or patient-facing settings is desirable. Strong communication, organisation and commitment to continuous learning are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care, healthcare or patient-facing setting is desirable.
• Genuine interest in healthcare and patient-centred care.
• Understanding of health and safety and infection prevention and control.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients to the clinic in a warm, reassuring manner.
• Act as patient advocate, protecting privacy, dignity and wellbeing.
• Support the clinical team by cleaning, monitoring and maintaining equipment, and reporting faults.
• Record patient information and observations and pass them to senior colleagues.
• Deliver care in line with patient care plans under the guidance of the nursing team.
• Build positive relationships with patients, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude while delivering patient-centred care.
