You will be providing vital support to patients in their rehabilitation journey, including assisting with daily activities and building meaningful relationships. We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.

Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

What you'll be working :

FULL TIME 36 hours per week

The hours are 7am to 7:30pm and 7pm to 7:30am.

What you\'ll be doing :

  • Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way
  • Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
  • Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
  • Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
  • Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
  • Communicate any issues to the clinical team
  • Accurately report and / or record work activities
  • Keeping people safe from any harm and protecting their human rights.
