Job summary

RG Setsquare is hiring a Shift Mechanical Engineer for a busy healthcare environment in Birmingham. You will maintain and support critical mechanical and building services, handle planned and reactive maintenance, and fault-finding to keep essential services safe and operational around the clock.

Qualifications

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities across mechanical building services.
• Able to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication and accurate record-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM across mechanical building services.
• Perform reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on complex systems.
• Work on ventilation, pumps, boilers, heating systems, and medical gas systems.
• Respond to BMS alerts, especially at night, and triage issues.
