Job summary

Integrated Facilities Management (iFM) Bolton Ltd, a subsidiary of Bolton NHS Foundation Trust, is seeking a Security Supervisor on a permanent basis. The role is suitable for an experienced officer who can work alone or as part of a team within a healthcare setting, with a customer-focused approach and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• SIA Licence required.
• General School Education attained.
• Experience of leading a team.
• Basic IT skills.
• Experience of conflict management, violence and aggression.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for security related issues.
• Manage staff employed as security guards to provide the best possible experience for all users (patients, visitors, staff).
• Monitor and coordinate the reaction to any alarm activations.
• Provide reports and monitoring information to produce performance reports.
• Carry out a full range of security duties in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain effective communication links via radio and bleep systems and correct terminology.
• Lock and alarm departments and external doors & gates as laid down in Trust lockdown procedures.
• Assist in the search for missing patients and escalate by contacting local police if necessary.
• Maintain any scene of crimes.
• Provide a first point of contact for fire brigade and emergency ambulance service.
