Job summary

Bexley Health Neighbourhood Care (BHNC) is seeking a Recruitment & Compliance Officer to manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and workforce compliance. You will ensure accurate pre-employment checks and up-to-date records while delivering a positive candidate experience across the organisation.

Working with the Head of Workforce and managers, you will develop reporting, support audits, and contribute to digital workflow improvements and system development within a NHS-aligned environment.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level in English and Maths.
• Sound knowledge of HR and recruitment administration processes.
• Experience of recruitment, onboarding and pre-employment checks.
• Knowledge of Right to Work requirements, DBS processes and employment compliance checks.
• Experience using HR, recruitment or workforce systems.
• CIPD Level 3 qualification or willingness to undertake.
• Experience working within the NHS, healthcare or social care sector.
• Knowledge of NHS Employment Check Standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment from vacancy approval through to appointment and onboarding.
• Oversee pre-employment and ongoing workforce compliance checks, including DBS, Right to Work, professional registration, qualifications, references and Occupational Health clearance.
• Maintain workforce systems, trackers and databases, and produce recruitment and compliance reports.
• Support recruitment campaigns, careers events and workforce attraction initiatives.
• Assist with CQC inspections, workforce audits and assurance activities with accurate records.
• Provide guidance to managers and coordinate onboarding arrangements for new hires.
• Support data quality checks, reporting and system development for workforce processes.
• Ensure records are maintained in line with information governance and records retention requirements.
