Nuffield Health Exeter Hospital is seeking a Director of Operations to lead non-clinical services, support the Hospital Director, and drive performance. You will oversee business development, facilities, admin, and governance to deliver outstanding patient care and financial results.

As part of the Exeter Senior Management Team, you will shape service strategy, manage budgets, and mentor teams while maintaining a culture of customer-first excellence across the hospital.

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience with financial management and budgeting processes.
• Proven track record in project management and service delivery.
• Experience managing outsourced services and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Support the Hospital Director and Senior Management to drive performance beyond targets.
• Provide clear leadership for hospital services aligned with strategic goals.
• Share best practices and drive efficient ways of working across the site.
• Manage budgets and provide timely management information.
• Shape local pricing strategies to stay competitive and sustainable.
