Job summary

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in Nottingham is seeking a Logistics Transport Operative to join the Estates & Facilities team. You will drive, check vehicle readiness, collect and deliver goods, and support clinical staff while ensuring patient and staff safety.

Hours are 37.5 per week, rota between 6am and 9pm, including weekends and bank holidays. The role offers permanent, full-time employment with a salary of £25,272 per year and opportunities for development in a large NHS Trust.

Qualifications

• Full driving licence with C1 entitlement.
• Driver CPC card.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
• Experience driving commercial vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes.
• Experience using digital tachographs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all vehicles are kept defect-free and report faults to the team leader.
• Provide a high-quality transport service to wards and departments.
• Maintain safety and well-being of patients, staff and visitors at all times.
• Carry out daily safety checks and vehicle readiness.
• Collect and deliver linen, medicines and other goods as required.
• Assist with other duties as directed by the team.
