Job summary

Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated Logistics Operative to ensure essential equipment and supplies reach wards and community locations safely and on time.

You will drive Trust vehicles, perform daily stock checks, receive and distribute goods, and maintain accurate records while upholding safety, quality and excellent customer service in a supportive Facilities Services team.

Qualifications

• Team-player with a diligent approach to work and attention to detail.
• Willingness to train as a fork lift truck driver or obtain qualification.
• Previous experience with stock replenishment or distribution systems is useful.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, store and distribute goods to wards, departments and off-site locations.
• Drive Trust vehicles and perform daily safety checks.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure goods reach the right place at the right time.
• Follow quality procedures, health and safety, infection prevention and proper manual handling.
