Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a delivery driver to join the Procurement and Supplies team. The role involves driving the Trust vehicle, loading/unloading, and delivering goods across hospital sites to wards and departments.
You will liaise with Stores and Materials Management, obtain signatures for orders, and assist with queries while maintaining safety and traceability. Travel between sites may be required and training will be provided.
The procurement and supplies team are looking to expand their delivery service throughout the hospital and are therefore looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, team player to join the department. This role entails driving the department vehicle and making deliveries through the hospital as required. You will work closely with the stores and procurement teams and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of goods. This includes loading and unloading of the department vehicle and delivering on foot to wards and departments. You will need a full clean driving licence for this post. To deliver goods across the Trust to ward level To obtain signatures for orders to ensure traceability of goods. To load/unload and drive the Trust vehicle across the site(s) as necessary To assist with queries from Stakeholders over orders and deliveries To liaise with Stores and Materials Management Teams to ensure service delivery across all lines Operate any other stores handling equipment within agree operational procedures Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides hospital services to a growing population of around 700,000 people living across Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas across two busy hospital sites in Bedford and Luton.
