Job summary

Equans is seeking a Mechanical Craftsperson to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham on a permanent basis. The role is full-time, 37.5 hours per week, with a competitive salary and benefits.

You will perform mechanical craftsperson tasks, maintain services for the NHS Trust, and support in compliance with KPI/contract obligations. A driving licence and DBS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ or C&G Level 2 Heating/Vent/Plumbing.
• Legionella/TMV/Disinfection awareness and training.
• Water Hygiene Training (Desirable).
• Driving licence.
• DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Undertake duties to maintain services for the NHS Trust and complete paperwork.
• Perform the complete range of Mechanical Craftsperson tasks as directed by management.
• Ensure work complies with EQUANS KPI and contract.
• Knowledge of water/mechanical systems in a healthcare environment and maintenance/testing.
• Knowledge of Legionella and other water pathogens.
• Carry out temperature monitoring, shower head cleaning and disinfection, TMV/AHU servicing, among others.
• Drive the company vehicle as required to meet service needs.
• Participate in the on-call rota.
