Job summary

Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an experienced painter and decorator to join an in-house team covering work across north or south sites. You will perform planned and reactive decorating, surface preparation and plastering, ensuring high-quality finishes in clinical environments.

Applicants should have time served or Level 3 qualification, CPD, NHS experience, H&S knowledge, and experience working with contractors.

Qualifications

• Time served or Level 3 qualification in painting and decorating.
• CPD (Continued Professional Development).
• NHS experience or understanding of NHS environments.
• H&S knowledge (health and safety).
• Experience working with contractors.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive painting and decorating across Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust premises.
• Undertake internal and external painting and decorating, plastering, surface preparation, and coatings.
• Apply wall finishes including emulsions, gloss, specialist coatings, and protective finishes.
• Prepare surfaces by washing, sanding, filling, sealing, patch repairs and making good.
• Complete plastering works to a high standard.
• Ensure work is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption to clinical services.
