Job summary

The Clementine Churchill Hospital in Harrow is seeking a Painter and Decorator (Bank) to join the Maintenancedepartment on an as-and-when-required basis. The role involves painting internal and external areas, touch-ups, and fabric refurbishment, with redecoration cycles and adherence to lease obligations.

Shift bank role with varying hours, reporting to maintenance leadership. Applicants should hold a CSCS Card, be trained in Pasma/Ladder use, and have experience hanging wall coverings.

Qualifications

• Current CSCS Card at appropriate level.
• Trained on high working, including Pasma/Ladder use.
• Ability to hang all types and styles of wall coverings e.g. wide width, fabric and paper backed etc.
• Ability to work under own initiative in a methodical process as required.
• Part qualifications in Engineering training programme or part completed apprenticeship and specialised in Painting / Decorating afterwards.
• Previous experience in working alongside Contractors and others.
• Working understanding of the COSHH regulations.
• Basic understanding of Health and Safety guidelines and applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Provide painting and decorating service to Circle Health Group Facilities covering both internal and external aspects of the premises.
• Provide touch up and fabric refurbishment service on both a reactive and rolling programme basis.
• Provide competent advice on the redecoration and fabric repair requirements throughout the facilities.
• Ensure redecoration in line with Circle Health Group property lease obligations.
• Exterior every 5 years
• Interior every 7 years to redecorate non-clinical areas.
• To redecorate the internal clinical areas of the premises when major equipment is replaced. In any case this redecoration must be done at least once every ten years.
• You comply with all relevant mandatory training.

Salary: Up to £15.50 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Painter and Decorator to join their team of staff in theMaintenancedepartment.

This is a bank role working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• The provision of a Painting and Decorating service to Circle Health Group Facilities covering both internal and external aspects of the premises.
• Provide touch up and fabric refurbishment service on both a reactive and rolling programme basis.

• Alternatively, part qualifications in Engineering training programme or part completed apprenticeship and specialised in Painting / Decorating afterwards.
