Job summary

Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking an experienced Design Manager to join the Integrated Health Projects team on the Leighton Hospital in Crewe. You will steer design management for healthcare facilities, ensuring compliant, value-focused solutions from concept through to construction.

In this role, you will collaborate with clients, planners, and engineers to verify design development, manage risks, and deliver designs that meet Employer's Requirements and Building Regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience in design management for healthcare projects is essential.
• Strong knowledge of CDM and Building Regulations is required.
• Familiarity with NEC3 contracts and healthcare delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technically compliant, cost-efficient design solutions.
• Assist with submissions and ensure client needs are met.
• Verify design development stages and compliance with Employer's Requirements.
• Identify areas to improve compliant design for better value in tendering.
• Advise on proposed changes to the design and construction sequence.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to manage risks.
