Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an Information Analyst to liaise with Divisional Performance, IM&T and Health Records teams and ensure corporate patient data systems are fully utilised to support clinical and business activities.

The role involves reporting stage of treatment times, waiting times, and compiling national templates while leading workloads within the Information Services team. A driving licence and NHS data standards knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Academic qualifications with strong numerical and statistical content at degree level.
• Experience in an information/statistical environment within the NHS.
• Specialist knowledge of NHS data definitions, information standards and policies.
• Effective communication to present analyses and provide instruction/guidance on procedures and standards.
• Driving licence is required; this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of report construction and information distribution and promote use of business intelligence throughout the organisation.
• Make recommendations to senior management on improvements to information gathering techniques and presentation of information throughout the organisation.
• Supervision and direction of Information Assistant workload plans.
• Support the development of business and clinical services through the analysis of activity, performance and quality indicators on routine, short-life and ad-hoc bases.
