Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an IPC Data Support Administrator to assist in the provision of data entry and surveillance data management for the Infection Prevention and Control Team. You will input surveillance data, maintain electronic records, and ensure data integrity across information systems used to monitor infection trends and IPC compliance.

The role includes supporting audits and generating reports, with a fixed-term post running for 6 months into 2027.

Qualifications

• Academic qualifications that involve numerical and technical content (eg ECDL or equivalent).
• Experience in an information/statistics environment.
• Familiarity with NHS data definitions and information standards.

Responsibilities

• Update, maintain and interrogate departmental patient-based data capture and collection systems (IP/OP activity, waiting returns, etc.).
• Liaise with data providers to resolve queries and quality issues.
• Provide data quality monitoring and operational management reports to end users.
