Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to lead the Domestic team in a hospital setting. The role focuses on maintaining high cleaning standards, supervising rotas, and supporting the Domestic Manager with evolving business needs.

You will have a background in supervising large teams with strong Health & Safety and infection control knowledge, and excellent communication to engage with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising large teams and managing rotas.
• Experience conducting performance reviews and return-to-work interviews.
• Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Domestic team to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure the team consistently meets the highest cleaning standards.
• Support the Domestic Manager in responding to evolving business needs.
• Provide coaching, training, and guidance for team members.
• Liaise with ward staff, doctors, and nurses for collaboration.
• Conduct audits and generate reports to maintain cleaning standards.
• Maintain staff rotas and ensure adequate coverage.
• Conduct return-to-work interviews after absences.
• Review performance with new hires and current staff.
• Undertake and document all required training sessions.
